Tesoro delivers exactly what it promises: fantastic food, great service and a calm atmosphere. All the food was cooked to perfection and I loved the use of seasonal ingredients. The freshness and quality of the food are obvious as soon as you take the first bite. The arancini is a MUST!

The Chef John is well versed in everything Italian food, makes incredible dishes and a great conversationalist. My wife and I had the Arancini (fried risotto balls - to die for) and then we had it again - it was that good! Our main dishes delivered as well…. I had the Rigatoni basil pesto with perfectly Al Dente rigatoni with tasty basil pesto sauce. My wife couldn’t get enough of her GuhhNudi (chef john’s pronunciation). The server Audrey was polite, respectful and patient… we had to take our time with all the great options. We’ve been here a few times and some nights can’t get a table and there is a reason why, this place is one of the best in Carrboro. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if that wasn’t clear from the previous comments… check it out!

the atmosphere was pretty small and chill. reminds me of a speak easy. the staff was great. very conversational and respectful. the menu here rotates so you know the food is fresh. the food was really good too, but overpriced in my opinion. if you go here definitely try the focaccia if it's on the menu

This is a no/nonsense place. If you are looking for pretty presented plates with lots of visual details, you will be disappointed. If you are looking for food that is high quality, complex and surprising till the last bite, you just found it. The interior of the restaurant is plain, with the stainless steel kitchen in full view. The recipes are well thought out, delicious and nutritious. The waiter was very communicative and down to earth. The wine was superb. I am wowed.

Absolutely stunning and authentic Italian food. The pasta is delicious, the sauces inspired, and the ingredients fresh. The open kitchen concept is great- just make sure you have a reservation.
